When i would come in to work. I would not be in the best of moods, cause i was running from one job to another. COY would stop me and say" leave those problems at the door cause when you clock out they will be there waiting on you, so smile and be happy you do have a job young lady. And yes i would smile and say you act like my daddy! Then he told me the story about his daughter and that we were around the same age, very sorry to here that, i told him, so he thanked me and sent me on my way. So i adopted him as my at work dad. Lol he just smiled and told me he was a teacher so he has alot of kids! He was right! I work on the terrace and somebody would asks me " where Mr.Nunn at? I would tell them he is everywhere, cause he was.they were so excited to see him again, they would tell me their names. But it was so many, i start telling them to write it down and i would give it to him, my boss at Wash U is also one of his students and she said everybody loved Mr. Nunn ar school. May God continue to bless the family thru these trying times, always put your worries and pain to God.

Why don't we listen when people tell us give your friends their flowers while they can smell them? Well, I am sorry, I never let Coy know how much I appreciated his humor, and his professionalism. He was the consummate gentleman. So now publically declare, Coy, you were a great supervisor; you made work fun, even in the face of many a Sunday challenge. You always had our backs! I have had the honor and pleasure of working with Coy at the Dome for the past 5 years. I was shocked and deeply saddened to learn of his passing; and I regret that I was out of town and not able to attend his visitation and memorial service. Coy was one of those rare human beings who could light up the room (and the Dome) just by walking in and saying "How are we all doing today"? He was a friend to all who were fortunate enough know and work with him. My lasting memory of Coy will be of his last event at the Dome. It was Supercross Night, March 29. Several of us were having problems "clocking out" at 6:15 on the new system. But Coy was right there for us with the solution, and he took care of it. That's the kind of person he was...a real leader, and an inspiration to all who knew him. May God keep him, and may the peace of Jesus Christ be with his family now and always.

It was once said, "Can anything good come out of Nazareth?". Through getting to know Coy Nunn the last fifteen years at the dome and convention center I cannot think of anyone who has influenced me and the environment the way Coy has. His expressions of real love,joy, and peace(regardless of the pressure of the moment)I will always remember and try to live going forward. I still can't realize that I will not see Coy at the Dome. Coy was my boss when he was on the fourth level, and I have to say one of the best. He would always say Hi how are you doing, with a big smile, as he passed by my area. He was such a good listener and gave me a lot of encouragement. I will miss my special friend. It broke my heart to hear about Coy passing. He was such a nice person and we had some laughable times in the early days on the Terrace Level of the Dome when he was a Supervisor at that time around section 420 and I worked at the Guest Service Desk. He was always so patient with the difficult guest (and his section had a few). I really enjoyed working with him. To his family, I am so sorry for your loss.
